Receiving Alerts
Alert Notification
When an incident is dispatched:
- Push notification appears
- Alert tone sounds (if enabled)
- Device vibrates (if enabled)
- Incident summary displays
Alert Information
Each alert shows:
- Incident type
- Priority level
- Location address
- Units assigned
- Time dispatched
Responding to Incidents
Acknowledge Receipt
- Tap the alert notification
- App opens to incident details
- Tap "Acknowledge" to confirm receipt
Update Your Status
Quick status updates:
- Responding - En route to scene
- On Scene - Arrived at location
- Available - Clear from incident
View Incident Details
Incident screen provides:
- Full address and cross streets
- Incident type and notes
- Assigned personnel
- Response plan
- Hazard warnings
Navigation
Getting Directions
- Tap address in incident details
- Select "Navigate"
- Choose navigation app:
- Apple Maps
- Google Maps
- Waze
Pre-Arrival Information
While en route, review:
- Building pre-plans
- Hydrant locations
- Known hazards
- Special considerations
On-Scene Operations
Status Management
Update status throughout incident:
- Tap status button
- Select current activity:
- Investigating
- Working
- Ventilating
- Search and Rescue
- Standing By
Resource Requests
Request additional resources:
- Tap "Request Resources"
- Select resource type:
- Additional units
- Special equipment
- Mutual aid
- Add notes if needed
- Submit request
Scene Notes
Document important information:
- Tap "Add Note"

- Visible to dispatch and command

Incident Completion
Clearing the Scene
When incident is complete:
- Update status to "Returning"
- Then "Available" when ready
- Complete any required forms
- Submit post-incident notes

After returning:
- Review incident timeline
- Add supplemental notes
- Complete reports if required
- Restock and equipment check
Offline Mode
Working Without Connection
If connection is lost:
- Continue viewing incident details
- Actions are queued
