Getting Started with First Pro iOS App

Quick setup guide to get you operational with the First Pro iOS app.

Installation

Download from App Store

  1. Open App Store on your iOS device
  2. Search "First Pro Emergency Response"
  3. Tap "Get" to download
  4. Wait for installation to complete

Initial Setup

  1. Open the First Pro app
  2. Tap "Sign In"
  3. Enter your department code
  4. Enter your username and password
  5. Tap "Continue"

First-Time Configuration

Enable Notifications

When prompted:

  1. Tap "Allow" for push notifications
  2. This ensures you receive emergency alerts

Location Services

  1. Select "Allow While Using App"
  2. Required for navigation and location-based features

Face ID/Touch ID

Optional but recommended:

  1. Enable biometric authentication
  2. Faster app access during emergencies

Home Screen Overview

Main Sections

  • Active Incidents - Current emergency calls
  • My Status - Your availability and location
  • Team - Personnel on duty
  • Resources - Equipment and vehicles
  • Messages - Communication center

Quick Actions

Bottom navigation provides rapid access to:

  • Incidents
  • Status
  • Maps
  • Messages
  • More

Setting Your Status

Availability Options

  1. Tap "My Status"
  2. Select current status:
    • Available
    • On Scene
    • Responding
    • Off Duty
    • Break

Shift Check-In

  1. Go to My Status
  2. Tap "Check In"
  3. Confirm station and unit assignment
  4. Submit check-in

Customizing Settings

Notification Preferences

  1. Tap More > Settings > Notifications
  2. Configure:
    • Alert types to receive
    • Sound preferences
    • Quiet hours

Display Options

  1. Settings > Display
  2. Adjust:
    • Text size
    • Dark/Light mode
    • Map preferences

Test Features

Practice Mode

  1. Settings > Practice Mode
  2. Explore app features without affecting live data
  3. Familiarize yourself with:
    • Incident response workflow
    • Status updates
    • Messaging system

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

  • Can't sign in: Verify department code and credentials
  • No notifications: Check iOS Settings > Notifications > First Pro
